SERVICE ADMINISTRATOR                     

BASED AT OUR RICCALL DEPOT - YO19 6QL

We are looking for a talented individual to provide high quality and efficient administrative support to our Service department at Riccall.

Key Responsibilities:

To competently manage the Warranty functions and all associated operational requirements for the depot. This includes:

  • Ensuring that warranty claims are submitted correctly and on time.
  • Following up with credit allocation.
  • Answering claim queries from manufacturers.
  • Overseeing parts returns when requested.
  • Escalation of any shortfalls to the Service Managers.
  • Ensuring that all the required information is on job cards before submission.
  • Dealing with warranty audits, providing the information required.
  • Regularly checking Work In Progress and chasing up any outstanding jobs to ensure claims are timely and good cashflow is maintained; this will involve liaising with all members of the service team.
  • Open jobs on behalf of the Service Manager when required.
  • Ensure machines are registered for warranty upon delivery, working with the Service Managers to make this happen.
  • Distribute, receive and action all paperwork associated with JCB Livelink and AGCO Connect including communicating with customers to ensure these systems are up and running in a timely manner. Actively maintain these systems, organise contract renewals (by speaking with customers) and notify the Service Manager of any services due.
  • Maintain records, documents, and paperwork in accordance with the Company’s requirements and in line with our policies and procedures.
  • Generate quotes and contracts for Extended Warranty when requested.
  • Write up and send out LOLER certificates.
  • Take service calls when the Service Manager is otherwise engaged.
  • Complete Hire Forms for machines sent off site.

  • You must be well organised and methodical.
  • You must be able to demonstrate a huge amount of accuracy and diligence,however due on occasion to demanding time deadlines you must be able to perform to the highest standards without compromising quality.
  • You must be confident and self-assured so as to establish relations and networks with people both inside and outside the organisation whilst ensuring your priority of delivering to our customers.
  • You will possess a customer focused attitude understanding priorities and time-critical tasks.
  • You must possess and be able to demonstrate strong IT skills, particularly Microsoft Office, Word, and Excel.
  • You must be personable, extremely professional and in possession of excellent customer facing skills.
  • You will also possess financial and commercial management skills i.e. an understanding of budgetary control and commercial astuteness.

Remuneration:

The rate of pay will be highly competitive but will be determined by the candidate’s level of experience. The successful applicant shall also have the opportunity to join our pension scheme.

Working Hours:

Basic hours will be 8am – 5pm, Monday to Friday. Extra hours shall be required depending on workload, especially during our busier seasons.

EXPERIENCED SERVICE TECHNICIAN                                  

BASED AT OUR RICCALL DEPOT (YO19 6QL)

Primarily daily duties will include servicing, repairing, fault-finding and diagnostics both from our workshop and on site.  The successful applicant will preferably have technical experience working with agricultural machinery and would ideally be qualified to level three in Land Based Engineering or equivalent. However, we  welcome applications from technicians who have worked on similar equipment with transferable skills, providing the applicant is able to deliver high quality standards of workmanship and adaptable enough to learn. So if you don't currently have agricultural experience but have a thorough understanding of engines, hydraulics and other mechanical applications we'd love to hear from you.

Essential Skills, Duties & Qualifications:

  • Ability to perform repairs and required maintenance using special tools and equipment following approved technical procedures
  • Complete all reports and administration required to a high standard and in a timely manner
  • Maintain a clean work station and assist with overall workshop organization
  • Follow all safety rules and regulations in performing work assignments
  • Participate in Service Training Certification programs required for the development of skills and knowledge
  • Perform diagnostics and repairs in the field as required
  • Perform pre-delivery set up on new or used equipment
  • Support Manufacturers’ Service Specialists when required
  • Mentor apprentices
  • Ability to use standard computer applications and internet functions
  • Ability to operate vehicles and equipment used for diagnostic purposes
  • Good customer relationship skills
  • Ability to work in a team environment
  • Full UK driving licence
  • Ability to work extended hours (seasonal) and weekends

All applicants must be able to service and repair agricultural equipment both on farm, and in our fully equipped workshop. We expect all of our technicians to be meticulous and self-motivated.   The successful candidate will need to demonstrate drive and ambition, have excellent communication skills at all levels along with the ability to work alone and as part of a team.  In return we offer a competitive remuneration package which will be negotiable depending upon experience and additional benefits. Product training will be provided where necessary.
