Hustler® Turf Equipment was born of a simple need for a riding mower that could manoeuvre the irregular landscape of the family home, complete with bird baths, gardens and winding front walkways. The first Hustler® mower was a compilation of mower parts and farm machinery, created by a genius named John Regier. Mr. Regier’s mower cut grass and steered like no other. It could hug a flagpole or reverse directions at a fence line, with a turning radius of zero. With this, the world’s first zero-turn mower was born.

Mountfield has been a number one UK brand for over 50 years and our lawnmowers, lawn tractors and garden care products all share a reputation for outstanding quality and reliability. Mountfield began manufacturing rotary lawnmowers at premises in Maidenhead in 1962; the modern, high specification machines of today bear little resemblance to their ancestors but all share a common ethos of quality and value for money - which has helped to make Mountfield one of the leading lawnmower manufacturers for over 50 years.

Nilfisk was founded in Denmark in 1906 as Fisker & Nielsen. Originally the company produced electrical engines as the basic component in ventilators, kitchen elevators, drilling machines and, later on, the Nimbus motorcycle. The Nilfisk vacuum cleaner of 1910, weighed 17.5 kilos. Fisker took out a patent on this invention and later bought out Nielsen. The vacuum cleaner outsold the other products, and the other engine products were gradually phased out. Nowadays Nilfisk produce top-quality vacuum cleaners and pressure washers.

They say that necessity is the mother of invention – and this is certainly true of the birth of SCH (Supplies) Ltd. Back in 1986, Managing Director Andrew Rodwell became frustrated at the lack of suitable lawn care attachments to fit to his garden tractor. Not being one to back away from a challenge, Andrew set about designing and manufacturing the attachments he wanted and started selling them to friends who had encountered the same problem. As the years passed, other ranges were designed and manufactured. Garden trailers, sprayers, water units, spreaders and broadcasters and leaf sweepers soon became firm favourites. In more recent years, SCH have been designing an ever increasing number of units useful for the sports and leisure market. Gamekeepers, horse owners and sports facility owners among others, can now find all the machinery they need under one roof.
